Here's my poem inspired by a thousand words:

          	She smiles.
          	She passes by everyday.
          	She laughs.
          	She make jokes.
          	She looks confident.
          	But it's all a mask.
          	Nobody sees behind it.
Behind the smile, the laugh, the jokes.
The faked confidence and forced happiness.
Nobody sees the hurt, the pain.
Nobody notices her suffering and loneliness.
Her longing for love and trust.
Nobody has heard her fears... The moments when she feels most vulnerable, helpless, lost.
She feels alone and guilt haunts her dreams.
          	But nobody notices.
All they see is the pretty little smile she wears.
Some say she's a sunshine when she's really just putting up an act so nobody has to face her storm.
Nobody sees how the thunder from the storm stains her face with tears and keeps her awake, sleepless.
Her fake smile is all the see, plastered on her face like a model.
She's posing as someone she isn't and everyone is only remembering her in the fake image that she has created.
But maybe when someone takes the time to question that smile, the laugh.
Maybe they can see the pain.
And help release true beauty inside her.
