sharpe is an expert at reading body language and reading a person based on their mannerisms and their slightest quirks and by doing so she actually becomes desensitized when having to inflict pain or violence upon them, because she doesn’t view them in a sentimental “they’re people they’re going to suffer i cant do this” type of way but in a “theyre a body with bones and their time is coming regardless, so i’ll quicken it” type way. in order for her to get closest to her target she quickly picks up on their habits, what they wear, what they like to drink, what they do when they get nervous, how to tell when they’re lying. like playing a card game, this comes with strategy, this comes with expecting the next move and concealing your own. the downfall of this in her personal life is her inability to connect on a personal level with other people - i think i’ve said this before but there is a numbness that comes with it that secretly bothers her because the only thing that brings her any thrill is when she’s seeking pleasure for herself in various ways. but it’s fleeting and it doesn’t last long enough. nothing brings her satisfaction nothing brings her thrill except when she does things that she shouldn’t be doing whatsoever. everything is analyzed, everything is read beforehand which eliminates any interpretation or imagination.

/ injecting muse into my veins like heroin don’t get me started about how the fake alias of stephanie sharpe is a tool she uses to maintain her power and position as coo because it is the only image that the public will accept and therefore become unsuspecting because as long as they see you as “enough” they’ll tolerate you. the way she is mainly accepted by the public in that role because she’s seemingly assimilated to the culture and world of wells’s reimagining of nyc’s societal norms and values which are centered around entertainment and hedonism. min-jeong has always been put in a position of forced assimilation, to change herself in order to survive not only life as a trained killer and a business person who specializes in crime but also as an individual.  she’s always had a strong sense of self and idenity and only plays roles to get what is best for business, however, also thinking about her secret craving to indulge in what this city has to offer. she herself, has a desire to follow the pursuit of personal pleasure (the new age of hedonistic society that is world of wells nyc) despite being keen on separating herself from a place she once viewed was beneath her.
