Random PSA:

For any fellow Android users who have been encountering any of the following issues with apps such as Wattpad, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, etc:

          	- Screen auto-scrolling to either the bottom of a document/page or jumping to the typing icon when you haven't touched the screen

          	- Words deleting themselves/changing to a random word previously typed

          	- Formatting not saving correctly and changing on its own (more specifically in Wattpad)

          	- General typing issues in any app

I believe I've learned what causes these issues for Samsung/Android devices. If you're like me, you've been unable to get any work done on the Wattpad mobile app because of the numerous issues listed above. Even the Microsoft Word app was having similar issues. The issues are NOT with the apps, but with the software used to run "Samsung Keyboard" on the device itself not playing nice with the typing software of the individual apps. More specifically, the problem is with the "Predictive Text" setting. By turning it off, all of the annoying issues I've been having for the past few years magically vanished into thin air at the cost of not having a typing assist to correct mispelled words.

If you're having the same problems, I suggest going into your settings, find "Samsung Keyboard," scroll until you see an option called "Predictive Text," and turning off. It can always be turned back on.

          	Have a great day!

"Towering over them all is the Rafflesia flower and she is clothed and dancing, her small feet lively and quick and now prancing and bowing to the audience, tall and limber and flawless, like a petal drifting along the wind. She never sleeps, she says. She says she’ll never die. She bows to the children and sashays backwards and throws back her head and cackles light in her throat and she is a great favorite, the Rafflesia. She swipes her claws and the rainbow streaks of her hair shines radiantly in the light and she prances about and takes possession of all eyes and she twirls and twirls twice, twirls thrice, spinning and swaying at once. Her heels are clacking and loud. She never sleeps. She says that she will never die. She hungers for life and for death and she is a great favorite. She never sleeps, the Rafflesia. She is swaying, dancing. She says that she will never die."

@ eyesoftheFUTURE Very well done. This perfectly suits Ragyo, both because of the characteristics of the Rafflesia flower and the character of Judge Holden.

First Dio, then Ozzy. The Godfather and Grandfather of metal. Both legends in their own right, and the progenitors of one of the most influential music genres to air since the days of Frank Sinatra.

The early era of metal triggered a cultural shift in America that challenged how society viewed the taboo. If there is any singular genre of music I can say has had the most impact on me as a person, it's metal.

Metal is more than just screaming into a mic about blood and violence. In fact, most metal songs have little to do with screamo and/or disturbing topics. Metal is, in my opinion, the most diverse genre of music that has a little bit of everything for everyone and for every emotion a person can be feeling. Metal has made me, and millions of others, laugh, cry, feel angry, feel energized, and feel inspired.

Without Ozzy, metal wouldn't be what it is today. And without metal, my stories wouldn't be what they are today, because many of my ideas come from music, and most of the music I listen to is metal.

Sleep well Ozzy. Hopefully you're rockin out with Dio wherever you are.

Hiya! Just a random question but, I recently reread the original Psychic Hero (still a classic btw) and I'm not sure if I missed anything but during the Entrance Exam the other Psychic user was absent unlike in the Redux. Does that mean they are a completely new character, or was I not paying attention? I don't recall seeing him at any point in any of the chapters of the OG, but I'm sure he was present in Redux. Sorry if this is a stupid question, lol

eyesoftheFUTURE

@Pika1007 The other Psychic present during the entrance exam in the Redux is indeed Mindo, aka the Psychic boy the reader fights in the License Exam Arc. He was not present in the original version of the entrence exam. I included him there in the Redux as a fun little detail readers of the original story might pick up on!

Random question but is Y/n from Psychic Hero supposed to be based on Mob from Mob Psycho 100? I have only recently watched the anime, so I've drawn the comparison in my head and well, yeah it would explain a lot. And if so, if you put Shigeo up against Y/n in a head-to-head fight, who do you think is more likely to win?

DraxHere

@DraxHere Oops only just getting this now. Wattpad notifs are out of whack (Thanks for getting back to me btw, that was quick lol)

Haha yeah, I was pleasantly surprised when I started watching Mob Psycho and immediately thought back to this story. I think the way you've balanced his abilities are really well done considering what you've got to deal with, kinda converting Esper abilities into that of a Quirk (with all the necessary drawbacks and whatnot)

I'm interested to see how the reader is gonna mitigate some of those drawbacks over time so we can eventually see him closer to Shigeo's level.

Oh yeah, quick side note, but this is definitely my favourite MHA fanfic on the website, props to you, I think the quality of writing is honestly insane and even surpasses that of actual novels, seriously amazing writing dude. Hyped to see where things go from here, keep up the good work my man

@DraxHere Yes! Originally, the reader character's quirk was heavily inspired by Mob and the psychic powers of Mob Psycho 100. From how emotions influence the reader's abilities to the indicator on his hero costume that keeps track of how strong those emotions are. Over time, I deviated from the Mob Psycho inspirations and changed the quirk to better work in the MHA universe.

Shigeo Kageyama would win without a doubt if he and the reader character fought early on. I "nerfed" the reader's quirk to balance the overpowered abilities of Shigeo for a more believable story, so Shigeo is basically the reader without the physical restraints and negative downsides of using his powers. But later on in his hero career, once The Psychic Hero: Redux reaches that point, I think the battle could go either way depending on the circumstances.

Thank you for the question! I'm always happy to answer!

Where I've Been (Health Update):

I apologize for the extended period of silence this past month. For a few weeks now, I have had some mild health complications that have been growing more concerning as time goes on. Things such as chest pains, shortness of breath, fatigue, and more. This is all on top of my other health problems and is most likely related to those issues. They aren't life-threateningly bad or anything, but bad enough to cause me to be in a persistent, semi-anxious state as of late. To open up a little bit, I deal with anxiety issues that oftentimes lead to catastrophizing. That then creates a feedback loop of worry and mental fatigue, something I'm sure a good number of you reading this can relate to. Currently, I am waiting to see my doctor in just a few days to get looked at.

In the meantime, I have not stopped writing to keep myself busy, to keep my skills fresh, and to keep my mind off my health, but I have avoided working on anything for my stories here as I cannot focus long enough to put in quality effort. It's given me some time to refine ideas when I'm taking it easy. These problems with my health frequently bog me down, yet my mind never stops working.

If I have impactful news concerning this going forward, then I will likely create a booklet about it so anyone can easily find an explanation as to why I've gone silent. Yes, I'm aware it's not necessary to do that for a silly Wattpad account, but it helps me get my thoughts out for peace of mind.

Health goes above all man, I mean without it nothing matters. Don't feel obligated to work on any of your stories if you feel burned out and stressed. It's one thing to do it for fun, but if it becomes a source of anxiety in itself then that's where you draw the line. Hopefully the doctor gets back to you soon and recovery is smooth

I worry that you try too hard to be artistic. Understand that a million redos of your stories will not make them a whole lot better. It's important to improve upon the past, but if you try to hard, you can make yourself burnt out from the massive scale of minor changes. I love your stuff. You need to love it too.

@NaziPropaganda ❤️ You're prob the best writer I've found on this hellish website.

@NaziPropaganda (Correction) I literally just updated my phone's software to a new UI version not even an hour ago and now it seems like Wattpad is semi-functional again after years of headaches.

@NaziPropaganda I do love it! Which is why I like to go back and rewrite/improve upon my backlog of published works. My work is slow primarily due to time constraints combined with a lack of day-to-day energy that's sapped from me by real-life responsibilities. Burnout is certainly something I've faced in the past many times, and I've learned to work at my own pace to get things finished. Swapping between The Vice-President: Reawakened and The Psychic Hero: Redux keeps my mind fresh when one project starts to feel like a slog.

How many reads a story gets doesn't matter all that much to me, especially since I write here for practice and to evolve my skills. I have a lot of ideas for both books that I am incredibly excited to fully realize in due time. I'm overhauling The Psychic Hero: Redux to bring it up to my modern-day standards and to make it easier for me to flow into new chapters as I continue along. It's been neglected because I've been having fun with Reawakened, yet now that I've got that entire book planned out and ready to write, burnout hit me. So, rather than forcing myself to work on it, I've switched to the Redux so I can give it the love it deserves while the other story marinates.

Lastly, I'm only able to write when I have access to a personal computer as the Wattpad app on Android is borderline unusable.

Thank you for your concern! I'm working hard because I enjoy what I do!

            Have a great day!

Update for The Psychic Hero: Redux

I have grossly underestimated the amount of time it'll take for me to finish updating The Psychic Hero: Redux. I was sitting on the idea of adding a brand new chapter, aka the upcoming Prologue, for quite a while and thought now would be a good time to include it, but that means it has to be written and finished on top of everything else I'm doing to the pre-existing story.

So, to avoid an extending the waiting period for the whole package, I'll be finishing and releasing the Prologue first! It's an original chapter that sets the stage for the entire story of The Psychic Hero. After the Prologue is out, I'll finish refreshing the remaining chapters.

This information will be reflected in the short informational chapter soon.

          Have a great day!
