I have a deadline for an essay this weekend that I have to finish up for tonight but I’m going to look into what I need to make updating more frequently possible, especially since I do still plan to go on my annual absence during Ramadan, which starts in february this year.

I’m so tired that I don’t even feel the need to write anymore. I hate to say it but it's true. The only wp related thing I have in mind is maybe a Gob fic, but I wasn’t even been able to watch any AD until last night

@sublimitys omgg i hope you enjoy the whole movie!!! (and i definitely agree with the pacing. idk if you’ve read the books but there were a LOT of things left out, which explains why the pacing felt off. the movie feels quite different in comparison to the source material imo. definitely recommend giving it a read!) that dance scene reminded me what romcoms are supposed to be like and that this can still be done :)

@ladydazed whenever i see those cutoffs i chuckle like this is just too funny. he’s definitely up there already as one of the funniest sitcom characters i’ve witnessed

arrested development is SOO GOOD the humor is unmatched 

Like so many of these viral scenes came from the first few episodes, it’s insane. This show knew what it was from the start and it’s so good. I’m loving it so far

I will probably get my act together by friday and post in the weekend but I can already tell that I’m getting to a point where I prefer reading over writing myself and will likely quit 

But since I didn’t expect these writers to handle El’s ending with the care it needed — keeping in mind that we barely even saw her, our protaganist, this season — I was able to accept the inevitable. Stranger Things would’ve been better off if they just ended it at s2. Good night. 

Coming off of that terrible seventh episode, the finale just felt so much better, but if I had to compare to any other season of the show, it’s still very underwhelming and messy. But I enjoyed the cheesy shit and I wasn’t as frustrated as I expected to be. The bar was VERY low, so. El deserved better and the Duffer brothers were stupid for even acknowledging her suffering in that same finale, only for her to end up ALONE. Fuck that.

@spaceism yeah, i fully agree. i do like that they still added the whole documentary/exposing part of the webtoon, but yeah, it just wasn’t enough imo. i honestly think the whole love triangle and her getting sympathy from the writers is what ruined it. the audience walked away having sympathy for ahjin and not for junseo, while they’re BOTH terrible people and i would’ve loved for her to just own up to how bad she is and that she wanted to use them as pawns till the end. the drama set a different narrative and if they hadn’t made those changes, i believe that the ending would’ve been more satisfying.

@ezekieIsfiguero it's okay, sis, this might be also too long too. i hated the drama ending, i just wish they actually stuck with the webtoon ending, because it makes sense to how her character is, always disregarding others for her own gain, blaming other people for her own wrongdoings and not having any empathy for it. she is a sociopath and that should still be present at the end of the day. ah jin will seek happiness at the expanse of someone's life. that is who she is to her core.
            
            i agree that the message shouldn't have been that she would win, it should have been a complete downfall like the webtoon but that she would use something against junseo. also junseo and jae oh's deaths were stupid and completely unnecessary. there was no point with their fates ending up that way in the narrative at the end.
