A maiden sits, with dreams aflame,
Awaiting the day when all her desires will be claimed.
With heartaches and scars, she conceals her pain,
Behind a mask of courage, a warrior's stance she maintains.
Her lips, once full of laughter, now wear a forced smile,
As she converses with the wind, and shares her secrets with the while.
She questions the stars, and whispers to the trees,
And in the moon's soft light, she finds solace and ease.
But what has happened to the girl who once spoke her mind?
Why has she locked herself away, leaving her world behind?
The one who valued relationships, now shrinks from human sight,
Her universe condensed to a single room, where darkness takes flight.
Her smile, once radiant as the moon, now lost in worry's crease,
Her heart, once open to the world, now shielded, hiding her unease.
Is she truly brave, or just concealing her despair?
Does she wear a mask of strength, or is it just a fragile snare?
A poem just like my feelings
