Yippie. It took me forever to finally write chapter 23 several months ago. I just had one of those eureka moments. If I just changed the TIME of day that chapter starts, then have the info told as a "review" of what the character went through that morning, then everything works. Once I did that, the chapter wrote itself in a few hours.
Then I had problems with chapter 24, but not exactly what you think. Everytime I sat down to get "into my head" and write it, constant interruptions. For days and weeks. Eventually I just set it aside after I was able to write the first section. But then I had the problem of wanting a certain scene to happen, but nothing I could think of would allow it to go there. So, I had to scrap that scene and just deal with not having it. Cause it only works in one spot and that spot said, "no you can't have this head-butting/bickering scene here." Now I have to figure out how to get a few snippets into other places, but I don't think the story will let me cause it's between minor characters.
So, I still plan to keep a few chapters in the hopper for the reasons I listed in the previous post. However for every new chapter I write, I will post the next chapter in the story. I just finished chapter 24; therefore, I posted chapter 20 "Plan in Action."
Thank you to those of you reading my story. Comments are entirely welcome. And stay safe during this pandemic.

It's about time I came back to wattpad for longer than a few minutes here and there. I'm finally coming out of my depressive funk that started back in March when I had to put my 14 year old dog down. It took longer than I thought it would to even start the process of emerging from that state. I'm not completely out of it, but I'm out of it enough to mostly enjoy doing the things I love again. And, somewhat handle being lost in my own mind while doing them. I need constant background distractions, though, for example: ebooks/audiobooks/wattpad when crocheting, ebooks/audiobooks/wattpad/music/tvshows/kdramas when quilting, and music when I write "Call of the Wyld." I've been able to write a few chapters and completely overhaul chapter 20 that was giving me problems before. Unfortunately, now I'm stuck on chapter 23. I do know the beginning and the endish of the chapter, but I'm having a hard time focusing on getting there. Chapter 22 was a struggle to write, and now I have to continue with that struggle in chapter 23. But good news. Since I have 5 chapters in the hopper, I'll be posting a few of them until I can get past chapter 23. I want to make sure I don't need to go back and rework the chapters before it for continuity and story flow. Anyways, I'll be posting chapter 18 here soon so you can continue on with the story if you're actually reading it. I know I am.

I've made a liar out of myself. Since the last post I've managed to write several more chapters. I just started writing chapter 18 and chapter 11 is titled "Time Changes Everything." So, you'll have 6 more weeks of chapters until we may or may not have the slower updates discussion again. It all depends on the movie trailer snippets that play in my head. If they play frequently I'll have more to write; if they slow down, I won't. Right now they're slow, I'm mostly just writing off of the notes I already have. Since I have chapters in the hopper, I'll continue the one chapter a weekend updates. So, expect chapter 12 titled "Living Nightmare" to appear within the next 10 - 76 hours from this post. I could even be nice and post it within the next hour, but I won't do that because I need to do a final read through with fresh, not tired, eyes before I post it. Oh, and I want to warn you now, if you even read this before you read the soon to be named chapters, you may need a box of tissues, or even a damp washcloth, handy for chapters 12 and 13. I cried writing them and needed the damp washcloth, especially for chapter 13, so I figure you may need something just reading them. Yes, I admitted it, I am a crier, and you may be one, too. But it's okay if I'm alone in wanting to cry over my fictional characters, it won't stop me from doing it. Have a great day, and enjoy my story if you feel like reading it.

I've now hit the slower updates portion of my story. The good news is it's not writer's block exactly. I know what plays out in the story over the next several chapters, but my writing keeps getting blocked by life and frequent interruptions when I can take the time to put the story on paper. And yes, I said paper. I write all my chapters with pen on notebook paper before I ever type them up on my computer. Plus, I have notes on this story on 26 individual notebook papers (college rule) written on the front and back, and that only covers up to the next 10 chapters or so in the story itself. There's no doubt I'll be adding more pages to that stack as I write more chapters, and come up with more ideas for how the story plays out. So, rest assured I will post more chapters eventually, but right now they won't be weekly.

I posted the next chapter of my story early so y'all'd get a better idea of the story before writing it off as something ya wouldn't like. However, I plan to make regular one chapter updates on the weekends until I run out of prewritten chapters. Then it'll be slow updates, but that won't happen for a little while.
