I honestly never thought I'd finish, so I must say that I am incredibly grateful to everyone who held out hope. I hope the ending isn't absolutely terrible, trust me, I was debating a few other endings, but time won and I went with the happiest and easiest to write. It is a comedy after all.

Eyyyy! Literally an update in like a week. That is what progress is called. There are only TWO MORE CHAPTERS after this one. I already have the last chapter/Epilogue written so I just need to write the big fight. It took me literally forever to figure out to end this and I think I finally have an idea. Thank you again for reading and giving my babies a chance. Both of the last chapters will be posted within the next week or two. And after that, I think I'll be done with writing for a while if not forever, if you haven't already figured it out, I'm actually a neuroscience nerd so I don't really plan to do writing for the rest of my life.

Sorry it's short, but I really wanted to get it out before the end of the week. I hope you all enjoy the change up. Honestly, while writing this, I felt like I was writing Wilhelmina and Marc from "Ugly Betty," it probably seeped into the style a bit. We only have  FOUR chapters left guys! So hopefully... And the wait is over. I'm sorry it took so long to finish this one. Preparing for college is not an easy feat. Hopefully, you understand. I do hope to have this completely finished by the end of August. (No clue how, but I will.) The good news is that I have a plan! Hopefully I'll actually finish this before I move up to Cleveland, OH. I guess we'll see though.

Yes! I am, in fact, alive! I know it may seem strange, but my past, and final, semester of high school was incredibly busy and stocked full of momentous events like a rather boring graduation and a prom I didn't even bother to attend. Nevertheless, I finally found time to update. We are nearing the end of the second part of the book and in a few chapters I may throw you all for a loop :-)
          
          Here's to the hope in my ability to follow a decent schedule.

Guess who finally sat down and wrote something... ME! Sorry it took a few months and extra sorry about how I ended it. I'll try to get better at actually writing and not just scrolling through TikTok at night... I hope you all give it a read and enjoy the little bit of angst that was brought on in this chapter. I'm alive I swear. I've had a lot going on and my top two dream colleges release decisions in like two weeks so I'm *stressed*. Overly Complicated will continue.
          
          I promise.
          
          My original plan was 40 chapters and stop when I get to college, so there is quite a bit more I need to get to in the coming months. Quite frankly I already have planned out two other books that I know I'll never get around to writing but I'll tell you about them anyway.
          
          Book 1 follows the "evil" scientist Lorelai, her wife/lab partner Gennie, and their interns as they discover an alien from space named Potentia. It is legit inspired by an APLit project I had to do three weeks ago and when far too deep...
          
          Book 2 is another mythology. I only know it would be about my all-time favorite character in the ENTIRETY of Greek Myth: Tiresias. It could be a modern myth, it could be a retelling, I don't know yet, but at some point in my writing career, it will happen.
