Hey everyone, I decided to take a bit of a break from Fantasy stuff just because one day I woke up with this great sci-fi story in mind. And I finally got off to writing it.
It's called Flight University and it goes like this:
"In the time of Spaceships, Interstellar Travel, and Galactic colonies, mankind was on its way to conquer the stars. But still, age old problems since before the time of space flight plague humanity: Wars, Poverty, Prejudice, and in the case of seventeen year old Gabriela Estrella, being too shy to approach her high school crush.
One day, acting on impulse, she decides to leave the comforts of her home planet to follow the dreamy Timothy Garcia across the galaxy, even if that meant following him into and also enrolling in the Intersystems Aeronautic and Astronautic Training Institute, the Galactic Government's premier Pilot officer training programme.
While she hopes to find and, if the universe would allow it, win the heart of his high school crush, she instead stumbles a squadron of misfit teenagers, a sadistic drill sergeant, and a whole lot of drama that comes with growing up and going to college.
All while learning to become an elite Fighter Plane Pilot.
