For Shoma, every fight is a gamble, and he plays recklessly, betting his own health, freedom, or even his life without hesitation. He mocks heroes relentlessly, calling their sense of justice “boring” and claiming they lack the courage to play a truly high-stakes game. Despite his theatrical demeanor, Shoma has a darker edge. Beneath the showmanship lies an unnerving unpredictability. One moment, he’s laughing and tossing cards playfully into the air; the next, he’s unleashing devastating attacks without warning. This erratic behavior makes him impossible to predict, keeping even his closest allies on edge. Shoma also has an unnerving habit of referring to fate as though it’s a tangible force.                Shoma combines five specific cards—three Spades and two Clubs—to create his ultimate attack. The Spades summon large, horrifying illusions to disorient his enemies, making them see their worst fears or trapping them in an endless maze of shadows. Meanwhile, the Clubs unleash a barrage of fiery explosions, creating chaos and destruction across a wide area. This move requires Shoma to sacrifice a large amount of stamina and leaves him almost defenseless after execution, but it’s capable of leveling an entire battlefield.

                Shoma’s quirk allows him to summon and manipulate a spectral deck of 54 playing cards, including two Jokers, each infused with chaotic energy. The cards hover around him and can be launched or controlled telekinetically to unleash devastating effects. The suit and rank of each card determine its ability, with unique applications for every combination. However, unlike other quirks, Shoma’s powers come with a dangerous cost—he must wager a portion of his energy, stamina, or even his own health to empower the effects of the cards. The more powerful the card’s effect, the higher the cost to Shoma himself.

                Shoma relies entirely on his quirk for combat. Without his cards, he has no physical strength or combat training to fall back on. The energy cost of using high-ranked cards or Jokers can leave him too weak to defend himself. Prolonged battles often work against him. If his cards are all on cooldown, he’s left without options until they recharge. Overusing his quirk too quickly can backfire. The power of the Jokers can harm Shoma and his allies as much as his enemies, making them a last resort.
