I just saw a post on Twitter that said
‘Straight pride doesn’t exist for the same reason Britain doesn’t have an independence day’
And some fucker in the comments said ‘that’s sorta kinda completely different...? I mean like Britain was never under anybody else’s rule, but straight people are viewed by a lot of people as “haters” and “old school”’

Now we don't have time to unpack all of that jk jk I do
Let’s start with the fact that they disproved themselves right away by saying that Britain was never under anybody else’s rule, like yes my dude you have got the point, straight people have never been hate-crimed for being straight and British people (to my knowledge) have never gotten hate-crimed for being British
Let’s move on to the second part of this god awful comment, I have never heard anybody seriously call straight people haters or old school. Also, getting called ‘haters’ or ‘old school’ is not equivalent to getting murder or beaten for holding your same-sex partners hand in public and it is most definitely not equivalent to colored trans women’s life expectancy being 35 at the most

Sometimes I hate time because it takes precious moments away from me, but other times I’m grateful because it sweeps those awful moments away. I think time wants to take away the moments I love so that I can experience more of them. Making the bad ones go away is times way of helping to heal me. Time is always there with me, watching and for that I am grateful. Even though things always feel like they’re always moving too fast for me and days blur together, it’s almost like time is thanking me by giving me mundane days where everything is the same as yesterday, so that I don’t worry. Time is always there and won’t ever go away. I just wish I could appreciate that more.
