Cynthia is the chick from the beginning of the book who Rose was trying to help from a looong time ago and she disappeared all of the sudden and Rose was told not to say anything because she would get in trouble. Like in the beginning Rose asked everyone if they knew her and they all said no so she thought she was going crazy herself. :))
