          Guys, I know the updates are coming late these days. I’m dealing with some emergencies and also focusing on editing Kashish – Book 1.
          
          I’m planning to publish it on Kindle soon, so things are a bit slow right now. I hope you all understand and support me.

"You're such a dramatic wife, Mrs. Karmarkar." I lifted her into my arms and she wrapped her hands around my neck. "Getting my husband's attention means being dramatic." she mumbled before pressing a soft kiss to my jaw. My breath stuck. "Then I'll always be like that."
          
          "Really..." she nodded twice as I carried her to the bed. "Why didn't you change your clothes?" I nodded at her black saree while gently laying her down on the bed. My one hand fingers were caressing her forehead while the other was wrapped around her bare waist. "So that you can remove this." Her arms still wrapped around my neck.
          
          I switched off the bedside lamp and now only the moon's rays filled our room. Bedside window was open and cool air was blowing inside.
          
          "Paas aaiye," she murmured, pulling me closer to her lips. "I was dying to hear these words from your mouth." Our mouths crashed against each other slowly, tongues molding into one another. My hand roamed over every inch of her stomach I could access beneath her pallu.
          
          Three months was quite a long time. We were devouring each other and Kashish was responding to my tongue just as eagerly. I rolled on the bed with her until Kashish was on top of me. Our lips were still locked with each other.
          
          "I missed you, Ran. I really missed you." She gasped when I deepened our kiss, my fingers rustling all over her, sliding from the small of her back beneath her blouse. "Why do you stay away from me for months?" she whispered near my lips.

"How easily you were convinced that I wasn't there?" I started walking toward her with each word and her shoulders tensed. "Oh, please." she scoffed. "I know you don't give a damn about anyone's pain. You're just a heartless man."
          
          Angry veins popped over my forehead. "I'm a heartless man," I repeated. It came out as a snarl. "I came to see you but you were so drowned in Idhvay's arms that you didn't even notice my presence." I clenched my jaw.
          
          "You both looked like a real couple. He was worried about you and you were smiling at him. It pissed me off but I still chose to walk away. Do you know why?" I took another step and her back pressed against the wall. "If I had stayed there, I swear you'd be attending Idhvay's funeral by now."
          
          Kainaat's eyes widened. "And then I waited outside your house the whole night. I tried so many times to forgot my anger go inside and meet you, to hug you but my ego stopped me."
          
          "So why are you here now?" she groaned. "You got your answer, right? I don't want you near me. Now get lost." Her words cut me deeper than she knew.
          
          "Kyunki..." I grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her toward me. "Tumhe dard mein tadapte huye chhod kar jana mere bas nahi hai, Jaana." Her lips pressed together but she didn't utter a word. She was just staring at me.

"Ran?" she mumbled in a sleepy voice, looking at me with half-open eyes. "Don't touch me like that... I know it's you." This time, I smiled. How did she always know I was near?
          
          "Really?" I sat next to her head and brushed her hair away from her lips, tucking the strand behind her ear. "Mmm! I told you to come soon and instead you sent me a letter with a rose saying you couldn't make it."
          
          "I hate you for this, Ran. I won't talk to you when you come back." she murmured with a scrunched nose. How could someone look so adorable even in sleep?
          
          "Sorry, Jaan." I caressed her cheek with my knuckles. "I thought I should surprise you... and I knew you'd love it." I pressed a soft kiss to her cheek as an apology. "Forgive me!"
          
          She flipped to my side and nuzzled against my chest. I wanted to kiss her right away, to make her believe she wasn't dreaming... I was really here.
          
          But I didn't want to disturb her sleep.
