In the eyes of the ancient Greeks, only the gods were exempt from human morals. They were beings that were incomprehensible to the human mind, and so they were not bound by our laws or beliefs. So, while for mortals, marrying a relative is wrong, the gods married each other all the time, regardless of genetic relation.
My question is, If we are all technically related distantly as inhabitants of earth, and can trace all of our genetics back to the same organism, isn’t marriage in general morally wrong?
Basically, in the eyes of the gods, of you marry anyone, you are screwed, because technically, you’re related, no matter how distantly.
Does that mean we are all (assuming the gods are real) going to rot in Tartarus?
