i know that the general consensus on aotc is that it's absolute unwatchable dogshit and i do largely agree even through my blinkered nostalgia (the anakin and padme subplot is genuinely abysmal), but i will say i do have a fondness for the obi wan stuff in that movie

my nostalgic fondness for resident evil 6 quickly evaporating the minute i try to play any campaign that isn't leon's

there are moments in resi 6 where i'm like 'hehe silly. villain just turned into a flesh transformer. yeah the combat is janky but who cares it's funny it's camp' and then there are moments where i'm like 'it's not hard to see why this game nearly killed the franchise'

i'm not big on resi 7 because i have bad taste and i actually like the ridiculous action movie campiness of some of the earlier games, but at the same time i can understand objectively why people love it so much – it was a fresh start that ditched the continuity, actually refocused on horror, and felt like a soft reboot of the entire franchise. just saying that people need to keep this in mind before reflexively whinging about the trailer for the cregger movie

i replayed resident evil 6 for the first time in ages recently. i had completely forgotten about the villain turning into some fuckass goofy looking centaur monster with a gun head right at the end and i promptly started howling with laughter
