Wow… it’s October already! Who would have thought ^^
Just wanted to let you know I’m deep into Linktober and working on some illustrations for my fanfiction. So if you get a notification from After Dawn, that’s just me having a bit of fun uploading them here.

Sorry for the delay with the next chapter. I’m hoping to be back by the end of the year.

          	Cheers!

UPDATE: I've started working on the next chapter, and I’m planning to release it on February 15th ;) It feels perfect since it aligns so well with the Valentine’s Day spirit.

Funny enough, with this fanfic, there seems to be a pattern: all my most romantic chapters tend to come out right around February 14th. I swear it’s not intentional—it just happens that way. Let’s see if I can keep the streak going!^^

I had another random dialogue pop into my head.

While Zelda was having a panic attack in the Chapter 8, this dialogue between Riju and Link happened:

Link: "Hey, would you mind writing it (translation) down? I'll go check on Zelda."
Riju: "‘Course." (pause) "Go get her, tiger. "
          Link: "Oh, shut it."

          hihihi ^^

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the long absence, I’ve been rewriting some sections multiple times – I even have a few duplicate files with deleted text. The last one has 6k words. I think I’ve rewritten the next chapter at least twice. It really took a lot out of me. But that’s not what I’m here to talk about.

To balance the word count between Part 1 and Part 2, I’m moving the opening scene from Part 2 to the end of Part 1. So, make sure to go back and read a little piece at the end of Chapter 7.

Chapter 8 will be out this Saturday at 3 PM (GMT-5). I hope you enjoy it!

Oh, and I promised you that article with my thoughts. Ugh. How am I going to get everything done?? But hey, Chapter 8 will have a cover, which you might’ve seen on my Tumblr or Instagram. Now it’s here! Yay!

          Cheers!

Hey guys!
Just wanted to give you an update:

The last week was a bit better than the previous. I worked a lot, but I was patient with myself and was really hoping to release the next chapter this Saturday. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to finish it—some scenes still aren’t quite perfect to my liking.

Right now, I’ve written about 9k+ words, and that’s not even including the "polishing" for the ending yet. I really wanted to make it this weekend, but it looks like I’ll have to push it to next weekend instead.

Sorry for the wait, but I want to truly enjoy what I write as much as you (hopefully!) enjoy reading it.

Sometimes, random thoughts just come to me—like last night, right before bed, I jotted down a few notes on my phone about Link’s emotional reaction in a key moment. Then, when I woke up, it hit me: he’d probably take a deep breath to calm himself down first. Especially now when it’s about Zelda ;)

Thanks so much for your patience.

P.S. Thank you all for your kind and supportive messages—I appreciate them so, so much! Truly! Sending all the love and kindness back your way. I hope it makes your day as bright as you’ve made mine!

Hey everyone!

Just a quick update: there won’t be a new chapter this weekend. I’ve been recovering from a pretty intense burnout and taking time to recharge both mentally and creatively.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding—it truly means the world to me. I'll be back soon with a story, better and stronger!

          Take care,
          Ana

So far, so good! The new chapter turned out to be massive—over 14,000 words! To keep it balanced with the others, I decided to split it into two nearly equal parts. This way, it won't stand out too much in length compared to previous chapters.

Part 1: I'm currently working on the translation, and it will go live this Saturday!
Part 2: Expect it next week—giving me time to fine-tune a few elements.

This approach also ensures you stay connected to the story without too long of a gap.

I shared the draft with a friend, and his response was:
"This is so good! I feel like it’s an incredible leap, beyond what I expected. I don’t even know how to put it into words. I’m just amazed—pure and simple!"

Honestly, this feedback left me glowing!

Stay tuned, and thank you all for your patience and support!

Between chapters, I often end up rambling about this fanfic with my subscribers on my Telegram channel. However, I mostly run it in Russian, so I’ll try to post here too, so you don’t feel left out!
#RandomQuotes that pop into my head (but may not make it into the final draft). Sometimes, they’re the kind that make me feel extremely embarrassed.

          Comedy of Errors:
Zelda (with no ulterior motives—seriously, it’s just that wearing a corset in the Gerudos' heat is unbearable, and I have a perfectly valid explanation for this, trust me!) asks Link to loosen the lacing on her back so she can change into something more comfortable.

He does it way too quickly.

          Zelda, surprised:
          — You act like you’ve spent your whole life untying this kind of lacing!

(And... he kind of has. At least, I think Rito armour has this kind of lacing, for example.)

So Link, without thinking, blurts out:
          — Yeah, I’m kind of an expert at this.

Pause... and his face immediately drops, because wow, that came out so-so wrong...

Ta-da! ^^ Now you are embarrassed too. Welcome to the club!

Nobody asked for it, but here’s the continuation of this drabble anyway.

Zelda chuckled, a mischievous glint in her eyes, and teased:

“Rumor has it, you’re quite the the ladies' man, but I assumed the Hero of Hyrule didn’t need to lift a finger—girls must be leaping out of their corsets for you.”

Link, though red as a beet, shot back without missing a beat:

“They do. But I like the one who’s asking for it.”

“Is that so?” Zelda smirked, slipping out of the corset and unbuttoning her blouse just enough to reveal one bare shoulder. She leaned back dramatically, sprawling across his lap, and, with a flourish, pressed a hand to her forehead. Her voice rose in playful exaggeration:

“Save me! Oh, Save me, my Hero!

Link stared down at her, his face still flushed, but his expression had shifted. His tone, though soft, carried an unmistakable edge:

“Keep this up, Princess, and you won’t be wearing anything at all.”
