@-lostgardens that's totally fair! i probably wouldn't say it makes no sense to me in hindsight bc i do understand why people want her to be bi. i personally would be happy either way, it just makes more sense to me from the way they've set things up that she's a lesbian with comphet and john is her platonic soulmate.

i completely understand headcanoning, but francesca was IN love with john, there’s really no disputing that, AND she’s going to fall in love with michaela, there’s not disputing that either. and as a bisexual person myself, seeing people completely cast her feelings for john aside or say that they were just platonic bc she’s going to fall for michaela is a little disheartening. just bc a woman has feelings for another woman doesn’t automatically mean she’s lesbian—sapphic, yes, but not automatically lesbian (as someone who is bi, i know you know this obviously). bierasure is such a real problem, and i’ve seen it come from the bigots that hate the michaela/michael change and from people in the queer community in regards to fran and her story, so you saying that people who are worried about bierasure when it comes to fran make no sense to you makes no sense to me. yes, the amount representation for lesbians needs to better, but so does the representation for bisexual people, especially bisexual women. personally, i would love to have a female bisexual lead.

this!! i am bisexual as well and also see her as a comphet lesbian and john as her platonic soulmate. there’s no harm in headcanoning when we don’t have a confirmation yet
