Well, I've managed to finish my story for the ONC. Hopefully it all comes to a satisfying conclusion and no-one feels disappointed.
So just time for a final edit, and a word count to make sure I have gone over 20k. Then I can sit back and finally try and catch up on all those other ONC entries that I was intending to read but kept putting off.

I just posted Chapter 9 of "What's the Point of Love?". It's slightly shorter than the other chapters, but it all leads into the big finale. But will it be a happy ending after all? We shall have to wait and see...

hey, I'm thinking of launching a SPAM bookclub with the Wattys approaching so close I was thinking of making a bookclub that could make the read for reads for process for new writers easier, but I need two - three people more to run it with me! Would you be interested in doing so?

So, the ONC round 1 winners have just been announced, and some how my story was picked as one of the winners! Well, that was a nice surprise, and definitely gives a little boost to my motivation. Hopefully the rest of the story will be as good as the first chapter.

Tysm also pls consider putting out announcements for your ONCE entry when you update it bcoz the notifications are whack so even though it’s in my reading lists I’m not notified when it’s updated so it’s difficult to remember to pop in to read a new chap TT

Just published chapter 4 of my ONC entry, and that puts my current word count at exactly 8000, so it means I'm ready for the next round a whole month ahead of schedule. Much better than my usual approach of procrastinating and then panicking when the deadline starts to threaten.
So how is everyone else getting on with their novellas?
