@charmingprivateer ( . . . ) yes, as it will determine whether I / kill / you or not. [ azara retorted, her eyes narrowing, swirling like a storm as she stared at him like a hawk observing its prey. at his words, she hesitated. ] I’m fine. I’m not going to die. [ she rasped, slowly bringing the dagger down away from his neck and stepping back from him. her copper coloured eyes scanned her surroundings — she didn’t recognise where she was but the interior looked an awful lot like a ship. how did she end up on a / ship / ?
a sharp pain once again travelled through her side. her fingers slowly lifted the hem of her shirt, teeth clenching as she peeled the material away from the stickiness of the blood that smeared across her side and the deep gashes that looked suspiciously like claw marks. she glanced away from it, dropping her shirt as she hauled her legs to forwards in order to force herself to move. ] I can’t be here.

( nikolai had only wanted to help — despite contrary belief, it was in his nature. now, with a dagger to his throat, he was trying to decide whether or not he truly regretted his choice, before deciding that, /no/, he didn’t. even if it meant he may die himself, at least she seemed fine enough to be wary of him. good enough. although, he noticed her grimace. was she hurt? he’d best check it out. ) is that question really relevant, sweetheart? you don’t look so good. would you mind letting yourself relax so i can take a look and make sure you’re not in threat of dying? if i wanted you dead, i would’ve killed your while you were out. no need to worry about me wanting your head.

@charmingprivateer ( . . . ) [ as soon as azara felt the foreign touch of the back of a hand against her forehead, the dragon rider had launched herself up to her feet, eyes struggling to adjust to the light, though that did not stop her. her fingers grasped onto the collar of the stranger’s shirt, shoving him backwards until his back hit the wall. the blade of one of her many daggers pressed against his throat, teeth bared as her other forearm pinned against his chest. her breaths came out ragged as she attempted to ignore the searing pain across her side and the black specks that dotted across her vision. her memory was struggling — what had happened, where was she, how had she ended up wherever she now was ? ] who are you ?

despite his unusual upbringing , erwin was raised just and true by two kind villagers . these women made sure that a man such as erwin wouldn’t be easily corrupted by the way things had been built within the kingdom , especially after it had been taken over by a vicious king . the warlock and knight knew better than to judge , or to slaughter those who didn’t deserve it . he couldn’t possibly ruin this opportunity in seeing something so uniquely different . “ i’m figuring out a way to bring my kingdom back to its rightful heir . the king who currently sits on the throne stole it from me , i’m the true king of stellarum— i can no longer stand idle and wait for something to come to pass so i’m forging my own path to bring it back to me . ” there was a clear goal in mind , one that could be seen in the very flickers of erwin’s eyes . his words were honest , righteous . he wasn’t a usurper , he was a savior .

@stellaroars ( . . . ) [ a sour expression plastered it’s way onto her face. thinking about it again, azara supposed that it wasn’t exactly / unusual / that he had never laid eyes on a dragon before. throughout the centuries, their numbers had dwindled down, largely due to being casualties in the ongoing war, but also because of the ones who hunted them. dragons were seen as monsters, and perhaps they were, but they were also magnificent creatures who were on this earth far longer than anyone else. she could feel the hot breath of the dragon behind her, who was unsettled — her fingers brushed against his scales, murmuring in her mind across to him — ‘ calm yourself, veyrith ‘ — .
her hues narrowed at him as she moved forward, the unmistakeable clink of her blade in the sheath on her back taunting him with each step. ] and where exactly are you from to venture so far into lands that you have no business being in ? . . . [ her lips pursed. she was undeniably curious, but that did not diminish her caution. she almost laughed at his statement — luckily for them both ? who did he think he was ? ] why are you here ?

“ i DO get out much , mind you . it’s just.. where i’m from we don’t exactly HAVE dragons— or any magical creatures for that matter . they were all banned centuries ago . ” there was a sound of displeasure in erwin’s tone , alongside his expression . “ preferably with my body still intact . ” even a knight such as he knew better than to go head to head with a beast known for its might , not to mention its rider . erwin had heard of dragon riders but not once did he ever think he’d see the day were he actually MEETS one . “ very lucky indeed . and luckily for you both i haven’t came to bring harm , that goes against my morals . besides.. i have more pressing matters to attend to than measly fights . ”
