a third legend of Zelda game involving the legendary triforce itself.

Story premise: in the middle of an expedition to Hyrule castle, link Zelda and purah stumble upon an ancient wall of old hyrulean script telling the legend of the triforce and it's mystical powers.

More specifically how it's linked to the master sword, the reveal of the three golden goddesses, the hyrulean royal family's ties to hylia, but most importantly, the true threat of Hyrule.

The demon king behind the demon king: DEMISE

How demise returns: demise ends up returning after his hatred eats away at the power of the master sword.

Resulting in the master sword shattering beyond repair.

As a result, hylia and the golden goddesses HAVE to intervene granting hyrule the triforce.

Demise tries to get the triforce but hylia intervenes resulting in each part of the tri force shattering into five pieces.

          Fragments of courage location: Hyrule

Fragments of wisdom location: the sky islands

Fragments of power location: the depths

@flareonking0607 I meant that the third legend of Zelda game would be in the same format as botw and totk being open world and all.
