alvina didn't mean to make too much noise .
she had tried out a new experiment . maybe
it wasn't the best choice , considering it had
been in the greenhouse . but , it definitely
shattered the pot like she planned . but , she
barely realized that there was anyone else in
the room . maybe she should be paid much
more attention to something like that .
not only did her pot shatter , but the plant
that had been inside the pot was sparkling .
it was another theory . she used the pixie
dust that she had . it didn't work on her , so
she had to test it to see if it worked on
anything else . and well , it worked on the
plant . but not for long . not the result that
she expected .
alvina then turned to the voice . she opened
her mouth , turning back to the plant , trying
to think of ways she could possibly explain
this . she cleared her throat .
" pixie dust , " she said back quietly , " that's
why the plant is sparkling right now . "
she looked back at the poor plant . alvina
walked over to it, cleaning up the dirt that
was on the ground . " i was ... merely doing
an experiment , see ? " she told the other ,
" i wanted to see if that pot would float if i
sprinkled it in . "
she managed to plant the flower in another
empty pot . " looked like it worked for only a
a little bit . "
