            “  maybe i saw her leave after you talked to her  ?  i was a little late for patrol after all.  i’m also pretty sure i heard her talking on the phone  ,  said something about being right there.  “  knowing that if he asked for marinette and she wouldn’t be there it would cause trouble.  “  if you know her parents then i’m sure they can make us some that taste just as good.  “  when ladybug noticed him looking at her over his shoulder she offered him a small smile  ,  showing him she was okay.

            Chat noir raised a brow, his cheeks eventually fading to their normal color. He shook his head, moving to look ahead of them, “I don’t think she mentioned going to a friends house when I last talked to her...I don’t think it’d hurt to check. I know her parents pretty well! I really want you to try her crepes too.” He smiled, seeming to be stubborn about the situation. He used his stick to push ahead of them..oddly a bit excited to see her. She was always so kind to him! Chat noir looked over his shoulder for a moment, wanting to see if she was still doing okay.

            a soft chuckle escaped her lips at the sound he made  ,  remembering the first time it happend.  “  cute  “  the spotted heroine mused  ,  a teasing tone lacing her voice as she noticed his reddish cheeks.  however her playful demeanor disappeared as soon as he mentioned her civilian name.  “  m  -  marinette  ?  ah  ,  she’s not home.  i believe i saw her leave to uh  . . .  a friends house i assume.  yeah  “  she stammered  ,  hoping he’d believe it and she didn’t sound too suspicious.
