okay so like !! i've been really wanting to write longer chapters,, so while I was beginning out writing "brighter" i set my goal as 1K to 2K words and for my new fic i set my goal as 2.8K but like,, first chapter, she's 3.6K and HECKIN i'm vvvv proud of myself ! i've been working so hard ! let's go it's 2019 i'm on a roll !

also i feel like people are going to think that even 1K is too many words for a chapter? i see a lot of people apologizing for writing long chapter but like, in published books, 3K is a pretty average word count?? i don't think authors should apologize for writing long chapters. as long as the chapter has something to say and doesn't have words just to have words,, then pop off !! write as much as you want. if you really really think a chapter is too long, then maybe break it into two ? just, don't apologize for working hard
