i can’t believe this is something i actually have to say, but please don’t comment everything you don’t like about my fanfics on multiple chapters lol
          	
          	i’ve gotten an influx of readers on future rhythms lately, which is very appreciated, but that also comes with an influx of hate comments 
          	
          	i know not everyone is going to enjoy or like my writing, that is perfectly fine!! i also have pieces of my own that i look back on and hate!
          	
          	fanfic writers spend a lot of time writing their stories for fun! so for people to be picking apart little pieces of the story— commenting about how they don’t like it and would’ve done it differently, or telling the author that it’s cringy, is quite frankly rude!
          	
          	fandom spaces used to at least have some etiquette where people understood that, but apparently it’s vanished in the past couple of years
          	
          	now, there is also a difference between hate and a simple critique or talking about a scene that was intended to make you upset!! when a character frustrates you, commenting about that is normal! if you notice a small inconsistency, i personally find them helpful so i can edit! 
          	
          	but to go chapter after chapter, talking about how much you dislike the main oc is rude! most of the time, these comments also come from people who never comment anything they enjoy— just point out everything they don’t
          	
          	i know fanfic, mine in particular, has scenes where is can be cheesy and cliche! fanfic has always been a little cheesy and cliche! it’s fun! 
          	
          	at the end of the day, this is something fun and for people to make hate comments takes away a lot of that fun! 
          	
          	i can’t stop anyone from leaving upsetting comments, i know that, all i ask is that: 
          	
          	if you are reading a fanfic and do not like it, or something about it, don’t read it then! or at the very least, don’t make comments telling the author
