i am disgusted. i am horrified. i am furious. a new police brutality-involved death, and two ongoing suicide investigations that may  have been racially-motivated.  the trust and respect we once had for our police officers across the country has been lost. and the families of those three men will be in my thoughts and prayers. this is NOT okay. this is NOT respectable. this is a NIGHTMARE. “respect existence or expect resistance”. the MOMENT we started to celebrate the win in the lgbtq+ community, we have to mourn the innocent lives of those lost. and although the celebration of such an incredible change continues, it’s not fair that the families of these men have to grieve. when can we wake up? when can we be in peace? WHEN CAN WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY THAT CARES NOT ABOUT OUR SKIN, BUT ABOUT OUR CHARACTER?
