@fluttercordforever We all must kill things to survive. That's how nature works. That's not disturbing, even if your natural sensibilities have been skewed by modern life where you never actually see the killing.

But, in natural law, there are only two justifiable reasons for killing another being. For food, or if you are under direct attack. If a creature isn't trying to kill you, or if you aren't going to eat it, then you are taking an unnecessary risk when you kill.

Create enough imbalance in nature, by killing for pleasure or convenience, and nature may decide to punish you and your species. Nature's price can include individual death, and if the unjust killing continues, the eventual extinction of your species.

I know humans think they can use technology to beat the system, so many imagine we will manage to survive even when we thoughtlessly massacre other creatures. But, nature works on a time scale that stretches to eternity. It operates at a pace so slow compared to an individual human, as individual humans, we think our cruelty has no repercussions. It seems to let us get on with our unjust killing, but eventually, we will pay the ultimate price.

There is only one punishment for breaking natural law, and that is death. When someone kills for pleasure, it is literally a life and death situation, for both their victims, and for themselves.

Even relatively simple animals understand natural law. Watch them, and you'll see it in how they behave. It's a shame humans have forgotten. As living things, natural law is a lifeline we can't afford to ignore.
