Fire gave us power
Farming made us hungry for more
Money gave us purpose
Science made us deadly..
To me, Inside a book always seemed to be a good place to rest in..
But currently struggling with my way through the million copy best seller of Prof. Yuval Noah Harari *Sapiens*..
I'm have way through and is already having a hard time convincing myself how humans/homo sapiens (as in the book) climbed to the top rung in the food chain and became the deadliest species ever in the 4 billion year history of life in the planet earth..
And I'm getting chills from the fact that certain historical records makes homo sapiens looks like an ecological serial killer as wherever the humans set their foot for the first time, they made sure to left a different footprint, one that would never be expunged, as they lead (or they were one of the causes that leads) many species to go extinct..
These are my thoughts after going half.. And it may or may not change when i finish it..
