sam was probably pissed right now. and though eli wouldn’t admit it, the pack leader had every right to be. sam would’ve dismissed edward with a mere warning, but the fact that the vampire dared cross onto quilete lands had stricken a nerve with black. his thoughts were transparent to edward, of course, and each word burned with venom upon them. had eli dug into the source of his own anger, he’d find the root was a terrible jealousy he’d developed. it shunned the thought of the girl he’d walked to class just a few weeks back. the pale face stayed awfully calm in the clearing, opposed to elijah visibly shaking from trying to hold words(?) back. which it didn’t sound like he was doing, at all. among all the cursing, he let go one sentence in particular daft of profanity. “you’re not right for him, good for him, and you KNOW it.”

‘youre the furry,’ he thinks, obviously having no real evidence to prove it. elijah wouldnt quite use that term to describe himself. he preferred werewolf, shapeshifter, anything /but/ furry. again he whines to show his disapproval at the comment, hues looking up at them with the same feeling before they snap away, ears perked up with the sound of another familiar voice. one of charlie’s police friends, and fuck, it’s because of the growls, probably.

dimitri’s always pressed instinctively into that warmth and he’s no different now, hands smoothing out across their fur and fingers curling into the thick coat covering them. it’s weird but it oddly.. suits eli. it explains some things that dimitri had aimlessly wondered about. and he simply scratches behind their ear, smiling gently and relaxed against such a familiar warmth as he sighs. “string bean’s a furry.” @forkspack

another snort, and a huff following shortly after. he still radiates a familiar warmth, even in this new form, but it’s not known if the cause is from the blanket of fur or if it was just another supernatural factor. would he regret exposing this secret to dimitri later? surprisingly not, the reason being he trusted the short stack. and nothing was going to change about that. eli felt warm, fuzzy all over, and it wasn’t just because he was a gigantic wolf. no, it was at the concept that surfaced, a dim realization at which elijah wasn’t sure of how to respond. the concept of imprinting wasn’t new, and he’d heard stories from sam and paul, but he was just now piecing this together. he’d imprinted on dimitri swan.
