Vincent looked up from the book he was reading, his glasses slumped to the end of his nose. He quietly pushed them up so he could see the man standing in front of him, a gentle smile spreading across his lips.
“Of course, be my guest,” he affirmed, gesturing to the empty seat. He quietly set his open book on the table, averting his attention, “I’m Vincent, by the way, and you are?”

@amaremorsus ji – hu stared with wide eyes , tense despite the reassurance. this dude has / fangs / — that wasn't something he could just gloss over. "ah yeah right .. just fangs , no big deal. totally normal." he let out an awkward laugh. "sorry for scaring you .. I'm told I'm a silent walker."

* it was the same nightmare he always got - the one about his mother . caelum's mother died when he was young , and the boy had been labelled a murderer . it was the day his life had changed for the worse . he never had the closure or help he had needed , so he often relived that day in his dreams . as the fae slept , he tossed and turned , the feathers on his wings flaring as his breathing grew shallow *

gah ! ! * the fae jolted up awake , clutching at the hair that ji-hu had just been touching . he whimpered for a few moments , trying to get a bearing on his surroundings . the sounds of the city too loud , the smell of the apartment too different to the fae realm . all of his feathers were on edge , his tail wrapped around his leg for comfort . eventually his breathing slowed as he looked over at ji-hu , teary eyed . he was muttering to himself , barely able to choke out a sentence * ji-hu ., i - there - .,.

@fcllenfae ji – hu , despite his exhausting days , often found himself awake late into the night. he usually spent the nights looking over videos of his choreography or planning practice sessions for work. that being said — he was often awake when caelum had a nightmare. he moved to run a gentle hand through caelum's hair , not wanting to startle the fae awake. "cae .. " he whispered while scooting over. ji – hu only had one bed. originally , he had been sleeping on the couch , but they started sharing when they got more comfortable. it was convenient for times like this as well. "come on , wake up .. "

@fcllenfae ji – hu sputtered as he was dragged into the embrace , flailing around momentarily before giving in. "hey , hey — it's fine. I was just joking with you , cae. I wouldn't run away without you." he gently patted the others chest in a hole to soothe — it was just about the only place he could reach at the moment.

"I didn't know you thought so little of me .. " a sigh. "this is the end for me .. I have to run away — never to be seen again. I can't be seen in public with my horrible disgusting clothes .. "

* caelum tensed as he felt ji-hu's fingers touch his wings again . he was nervous , obviously , watching the other's movements like a hawk . he shifted slightly , drawing in a deep breath . his fingers sparked momentarily as ji-hu went over a particularly rough patch * i think .,. i think you got it .,.

@fcllenfae his eyes were trained on every action caelum was doing , studying and ( hopefully ) remembering. when caelum took off the metaphorical training wheels , he froze in a moment of nervousness. "I've got this .. yeah , yeah." he mumbled to himself alongside a firm nod. then with gentle fingers he moved to copy caelum 's movements , immediately looking towards the other to seek out reassurance.

* caelum guided ji-hu's hand slowly , humming to himself as he started smoothing his feathers , then gently picked at loose ones . he worked slowly , making sure ji-hu could see what he was doing , then looked up to meet his eyes * now you try .
