I stopped my tracks.
My body stilled. Sa sobrang tahimik ay parang pati ang pagpikit ko ay maririnig.
Awkwardness and embarrassment. That's what today is.
Napalabi ako at nahihiyang hinarap ang babae sa counter. Now my face was on display. Nakita ako ng mga kaibigan ni Liath at ni Liath pa mismo.
He was the one right behind me in the line.
My hand tightened around the drink in my hand. I walked over to the counter miserably with a tight smile on my face for the lady.
Umigting ang panga ni Liath. His shoulders stiffened and he froze on the spot.
I lifted my arm to get some coins but the hair around my body stood when it touched Liath's arm.
Agad akong umurong at ganoon din siya na para bang napaso kami. It didn't feel good, my stomach dropped so I shot him an annoyed look
He swallowed hard and his brow furrowed. Liath cleared his throat. Inusog pa niya ulit ang braso niya na para bang hahawakan ko ‘yon.
His face was tight and the air around us was awkward… and tense. So much that even his friends peeked from behind him, watching us curiously with a smug look on their faces.
Alam ba nila?
Kanina ay masaya pa akong tumuloy kami dito pero ngayon ay parang nawalan na ako ng gana!

Liath, who argued with me stood frozen in front of me as his lips clashed against mine.
Our eyes wide open. His hair brushed my lids. His thick lashes tickled my cheek, sending shivers down my spine. Our hands stuck in the same position from our last banter, barely apart.
We were so close—way too close. Our faces barely inches apart.
And his lips were against mine.
My breathing changed.
I stood there, frozen and unresponsive as him.
Lalong nanlaki ang mata ko nang matauhan ako. My head backed up and my body jerked away, my face burning with embarrassment. My posture barely proper.
My fingers flew to my lips.
That kiss... was my first kiss.
"Oh, God..."
"S-soren..." tawag ng Alnea.
"We just—kissed. Oh gosh, I'm gonna be sick," I whispered, only for Liath to hear. Tinakpan ko ang bibig ko.
My face burned from the embarrassment.
