I'm a mild-mannered communications coordinator by day and an aspiring writer by night. I say "aspiring" because I start to write something and then stop. The ideas dry up or I see someone else has already "been there".
I work in a world of fantasy and adventure, and am always looking for a "great big beautiful tomorrow", preferably where "they all lived happily ever after".
I love to read and have found some authors on here that I am obsessed with...no matter what, their updates are the first things I read. I read lots of genres: romance, paranormal (love werewolves), young adult, very adult, historical, mystery and thrillers.
I am a grammar nazi and I am not ashamed to admit it - I'm over 30 and accept who I am. I hate when I get into a story and it is riddled with spelling errors or bad grammar! Unfortunately, some of my favorite WP authors are guilty of this; I have learned to suck it up if I like the story, but that doesn't mean I have to enjoy it.
I am willing to help people who want a good editor - but I need to have some sort of attachment to the project. If you want help, send me the name and a synopsis of your story. If I like it, I will let you know and agree to be your editor.
Here's a tip to all those who get upset that their stories are not getting attention: if you cannot write a good synopsis (or write ANY synopsis) on your book's info page, people like me are probably not going to read it - there are lots of stories on here!
