(even after she had left, he continued pondering his thoughts. maybe it was the business man inside of him, but he was hooked. after all, the better the bar was, the better his own experience would be.) perhaps I'm overstepping, but have you ever considered learning an instrument? I'm sure it'd be much easier to find another barmaid to help than a musician. and it would be significantly cheaper in the long run.

( her fingers tapped on the counter. contemplating things. wondering if it would even be worth trying to find entertainment for the tavern. )  i’ll let you get back to your business.  ( she smiled and stepped away from the bar to sweep up around the tables and chairs. keeping herself occupied. she wasn’t desperate for money. she wasn’t out begging for it. though sometimes she wanted to splurge or bring something new to the tavern. so she was thinking how to do just that. )

            with each step beneath his feet, the floor boards would freeze over, the air becoming so cold it was painful to breathe, and the frightening feeling of tightness would uncontrollably well up in the chests of those within the same room. there were only a select few people within the ice queen's castle who could inflict such agony with their presence alone. KYROS, the young ambassador, was one of them. as one of the many victims of 'the shattering.' he was cold and detached. like many others, the world had become such an unsightly place in his eyes, yet he was affected more so than most. kyros' weak constitution as a child left him vulnerable to the devil's unintentional attack. his heart defenseless against the icy shard, which pirced his body. after being stolen away to the snowy castle, his condition worsened to the point that even the queen herself was impressed by his coldness, and would eventually have him groomed into becoming an important pillar of her castle.
