HEADCANONS.
            O1.     kyros' hands are almost always freezing, making handshakes or casual touch startling. holding his hand for extended periods of time can cause frost bite. which is why be opts to wear gloves most of the time.
            
            O2.     he will sometimes teach others “fake” translations of his dialect. someone might cheerfully repeat a phrase thinking it means “good fortune” when theye actually just wished suffering on the next five generations of their family. 
            
            O3.     unreasonably good at card games. mostly because hes so hard to read. but also because he cheats with tiny, imperceptible frosts marking the cards. if caught, he won't even deny it. just smirk and congratulate you for being so observant. 
            
            O4.     when someone is overly formal with him, he’ll bow extravagantly or greet them with ridiculous titles, just to see if they’ll break character.
            
            O5.     he CAN cook, but its a whole mission to do so. if he gets too close to the fire, it goes out. so he stands at a distance, reaching out his tool, and struggling to flip or stir. it looks ridiculous. he doesnt cook often....
            
            O6.     you do NOT want to get into a snowball fight with this man. he can easily nail you in the face from across a courtyard, and be out of sight faster than you can respond.
            
            O7.     kyros will casually “forget” to warn people that touching his things might give them a chill. watching them yelp amuses him.

THE CURSE.          where blood once flowed, frost now reigns. it spreads outward in delicate webs, turning warmth to silence, life to stillness. the curswd shard lodged within his chest. not by mortal hand, but by the judgment of celestia. is no gift, no vision. it is a wound eternal, unhealing, unrelenting. with every step, the curse speaks. it whispers across the ground in hoarfrost, breathes from his lips as knives of cold air, & gnaws at his bones with an ache that never ceases. food cools in his hands, his touch numbs, and even in sleep, the cold does not release him. doomed to frost for etnity.
            
            yet the true cruelty lies not in what it does to his body, but in what it denies his soul. it hollowed his heart. where once warmth bloomed, now only frost coils. his emotions did not vanish, but froze into something dulled and distant. joy no longer sparks, it drifts faintly, like veil place over his heart. anger burns cold instead of hot, manifesting as sharp disdain rather than a raging fire. love, when it tries to surface, is muffled beneath layers of ice. leaving him with the ache of something remembered but unreachable. he still understands emotion intellectually. can recognize it in others, but when it comes to his own heart, everything feels distant, locked behind frosted glass. 
            
            on rare occasions, cracks appear. a kindness, an embrace, the spark of genuine connection. these moments break through the ice, flooding him with overwhelming, almost unbearable feeling. for mere heartbeats, he feels human again. painfully so. but the thaw never lasts. IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO OCCUR IN THE FIRST PLACE.
