"Police and ambulances came shortly after we told the office where -------'s body was. The three of us explained how nobody would want to see it, that the display was that bad. However, they did need proof that ---- was in there.

They looked and he was, they weren’t expecting it to be that bad, the only problem was that the creature Akira slammed the wrench into, he was gone, that meant someone was going to be murdered sooner than later.

I told them about the creature, and they said they would keep police and security in the school, that if someone saw that thing, they could find one of the many security guards.

I don’t know how the authorities got here that easily, there aren't any police stations, fire stations, or hospitals here, they’re all on different neighbouring islands.

Either way, I don’t care, as long as we have protection, I’m fine with that.

“We have to stay together,” I told Akane, Akira, and Hibiki. “We can’t risk getting killed.”"

I will be continuing "A Group Of Withered Lilacs" on my own accord, and will publish the full story when I am finished!

I am glad to announce to my *very* small following that I have officially found a great schedule to write by, and have a great way to tell the story I have wanted to tell for such a long time. I will occasionally, though fairly often, update on 1.) the progress 2.) the page count/chapter count 3.) sometimes post little snippits of paragraphs!

I know that no one but a few friends are looking forward to this story, but I will post the new summary, that way anybody can be interested in the book!

"In the lonely enclosed island of Shijin, Rockia, Xochitl Okamura had always felt like an outsider. She was different from the other residents of the island. She had always felt like there was something more out there, beyond the confines of their small community. But she couldn't deny the comfort of the familiar routines that governed her life..

Each day was much like the one before it. She woke up early, tended to the small garden outside her family's home, and went to school. Evenings were spent with her friends and family, sharing meals and stories around the fire. Life was simple, but it was great.

However, one day, something changed. It started with small, unexplained occurrences - a missing key and a strange whisper in the wind. At first, it was easy to brush off these incidents as nothing more than a fluke. But as more strange events occurred, Xochitl began to suspect that something sinister was at play.

She wasn't the only one who felt that way. Her friends and family also noticed the unusual happenings, but they were quick to dismiss them. They assured her that everything was fine and that she was overreacting. But she couldn't shake the feeling that they were hiding something from her.

As the mysteries deepened and the body count rose, Xochitl became more and more convinced that someone in their group knew exactly what was happening. She couldn't trust anyone, not even those she had held close to her for her entire life.

With each murder, the clues left behind seemed to make less and less sense. They were twisted and nonsensical, leading her down dead-end paths and forcing her to confront uncomfortable truths about those around her.

It was then that she realized that in the world of Shijin, lying and keeping secrets were more common than she had ever thought. And if she was going to solve the mystery and save those she loved, she would have to be willing to confront those secrets head-on, no matter how uncomfortable or dangerous they may be."
