(2/2) when you, directly or indirectly, defend maga, when you joke about or downplay ice, when you speak positively in any way about people like charlie kirk, you're not just talking about opinions. you're talking about systems and movements that are actively harming immigrants, families, and marginalized communities. i think this also explains why people are going to react. you can't separate statements from the reality behind them.

i'm bringing this up because it's exhausting to watch someone refuse to acknowledge the harm they're causing while blaming everyone else for being upset. at some point, it stops being about "free speech or opinions" and starts being about accountability.

and yes, i'm not american. but that doesn't mean i can't care. i don't have to live there to see what's happening. i don't have to be directly affected to know that what's going on with immigration, with ice, and with the way fear is being turned into policy is wrong. silence doesn't feel neutral anymore. it feels like agreement.

so this is me speaking up. not to flame, not to harass, but to say that this situation didn't come out of nowhere. people are reacting because the things being said matter. and pretending this is just internet drama ignores the fact that real lives are tied to these issues.

in conclusion, if you support people who hold these beliefs or make these kinds of bullshit remarks, then honestly, be glad to be blocked by me. this isn't about disagreeing on small things, this is about basic empathy and morals. if you can look at what's happening in america, at ice, at the way immigrants and marginalized communities are being treated, and still choose to defend it or laugh it off, then we clearly don't stand for the same things. and that's fine, but i don't have to make space for it in my life or on my page.

i'd rather be honest about where i stand than stay quiet just to keep the peace. pls don't be a pussy and do the same. thank you.

(1/2) haaaii xx i know i haven't been on here for ages, but i just wanted to hop on here and speak up about a situation that has been going on lately. i usually don't post about drama or politics on here, but i feel like this is one of those moments where staying quiet feels wrong. i know most of you are probably as tired of the whole situation as i am, so i'm not going to go into all the details again. if you don't know what i'm talking about, you can check my friends' message boards and nat's explanation book — they've already explained what's been happening way better than i ever could. i'm not here to flame layla or anyone else involved, i genuinely don't have the energy to, but i just want to speak up because at this point, me and everyone involved are genuinely getting exhausted by how far this has gone.

layla used to be a very close friend of mine, and i genuinely cared about her. that's why, when she first started making comments that felt questionable, i didn't immediately blame her or assume the worst. i think most of you know about the things she said to hafsah. i never saw her as someone who would say things like that, because i truly believed she wasn't that kind of person. i talked to her about it and tried to explain why what she said was wrong and help her understand the impact of her words, and she told me she realized her mistake and had learned from it. then i tried to move past the situation and put it behind me, but that hasn't been easy.

now, with the comments she's made about charlie kirk, maga, and ice, i've realized there's no point in continuing to try.

i'm speaking up about this because this isn't just about one comment or one misunderstanding anymore — it's about a pattern. it's about repeatedly saying things that hurt people and then getting defensive instead of taking responsibility. and it's about how those words connect to real issues, real politics, and real people being affected by what's happening in america right now.
