I read & admire the works of many. But the poet to whom I attribute my love of writing is Langston Hughes. I was enamored with how beautifully he described his surroundings in works such as "The Dream Keeper". I try to use personification in my poems to create the same type of beauty in my words. Writing has, & and still does deliver me through difficult times. The poetry I write holds a personal meaning for me. I hope you attach your own meaning and interpretation to the poems as you read them.
