@g0ssipgirlk if you’re looking for some advice, I can give you some tips that’ll help.
1. Make friends on here with other writers and readers, it helps if you share interests with them.
2. Make sure your story summaries tell enough about the story to intrigue readers but not so much that you give your entire plot away.
3. Make sure you have at least semi-decent grammar, punctuation, and spelling. It’ll help make your story make sense when it comes to dialogue and reading descriptions and such.
4. Post as regularly as you can, especially if you have a bunch of prewritten chapters. Try to aim for 1 to 3 times a week, or find the schedule that works best for you.
5. Providing good descriptions of things throughout your story is super-important. It helps readers to immerse themselves in a story. Show rather than tell details. For example: the person was angry.
That doesn’t SHOW you what they looked like, it just tells you that they were angry.
A “showing” example of this would be that their face turned red with rage, or they were glaring at someone or they were clenching their fist, trying to yell.
5. Have a well-designed cover with a clear title and author’s name written across the front. Canva is a good app for this. I used Canva to make both of my covers. Although if you know someone who’s good at making covers, then you could ask them. Either way is fine.
All right, I think those tips should help you a little bit. :)
