skye couldn't help but let out a shaky sigh of relief as he said that. somehow, she managed to reach to him when people thought it would be impossible. when she saw the pilot intertwine her hands and pull her closer to him, she reciprocated that feeling. she knew that iguazu still had that idea of getting her an AC, as they discussed earlier, but she was wiling to give up that wish for the sake of his wellbeing.
            
            hearing those words of reassurance meant a lot to her, as that made her pull iguazu into a comforting embrace, one hand on his back and the other gently running through his hair, letting him know that he's safe with her.

                 Iguazu didn’t mind when she went over the top while venting her problems , it really helped let him know what was on her mind.  The woman deserves more peace than he does , all of it.  She deserved the world and nothing less.  If anything , the fixer was more important than the pilot…  he’s been to prison , went through traumatic augmentations , and has the voices of Coral in his head.  If he could give her that peace of mind that she seeks , he would throw everything to the side and make that his goal. 
            
                 He intertwines their fingers , pulling her hands to his chest.  “ I understand… “  he speaks lowly , his voice barely above a whisper.  It wasn’t common for him to snap back into reality and realize he’s in the wrong.  For once , he was actually listening to her…  had it been anyone else he’d still be bitching.  Now he was finding it hard to return to Rubicon to get her the promise of an AC…  he didn’t want her thinking he was going after his rival. 
            
                 “ You won’t lose me , freelancer.  I’ll be sure of that…  I mean , come on.  How can anyone kill this mug , “  he motions a hand to his face in a joking manner, trying to lighten up the mood.  “ But yeah , I guess you’re right…  I still hate the bitch , but I’ll set it to the side.  Only because you told me to. “
