Vaguely angry rant ahead, tl;dr at the end, please, *please* read.
          
          I am so sick to god of writers not including autistic  characters.  I know it's been said a thousand times, but I swear to all things holy I am so sick of it.
          
          If you're not including autistic characters because you're worried about offending people? I'm autistic! I will proof read your stories! I will answer questions! DM me and I'll tell you everything I can think of and more if you ask!
          
          Just please, *please*, for my sanity, write autistic characters!
          
          
          tl;dr: I'm autistic and mad about lack of representation, will beta read your stories and/or help with writing autistic characters.

I know I've pretty much abandoned this site, so yeah, sorry, but I'd just like to share that I do believe I have hit an all time low.

If you're telling your daughters not to wear shorts/skirts in their own damn home because "there are men in the house", I think you need to reevaluate what kind of men you're letting into your house.

          Instead of saying "I'm going to do do my homework/get out of bed/drink some water/whatever now," say something like, "I'm going to count to 4/6/10/whatever and then I'm going to *insert productive thing*."
          
          
          It works so much better for me, having a little bit of overlay between switching between things.

          I'm writing a story (not a Solangelo fic, sorry) where the main character is from Italy. She was born there and moved to America at age four. I, as a white agender pansexual Canadian, am trying to make it as diverse as possible, while also making sure to include the struggles my characters may face as minorities.
          
          Now for the question. If this sounds offensive, I am so, so sorry, but I'm truly just trying to be as culturally/racially accurate as possible. Would Italians be considered white? Or would they be Latinx? According to a couple things on google I scrolled through, not all Latinx people are Hispanic and therefore Italians are Latinx, but other sources say that Italians are white?
          
          Again, so, so, so sorry if this offended anybody in anyway, just let me know if it did and I'll take it down immediately and rephrase it with your help to be more sensitive.
