This is just a personal rant, something I’ve been noticing and feeling lately, so I’m putting it out here. I’ve been seeing two things over the past few months that are starting to get to me, and it’s not aimed at any one specific author just a general observation from what I’ve seen with several authors. Galiyan dena allowed hai mujhe ( crying emojis)

1 RANT : I completely understand that authors have personal lives, emergencies can happen, and things don’t always go as planned. That’s human. But what I can’t respect is ghosting. Over the past few months, I’ve noticed a trend—many authors promise consistency, but then disappear for months without updates or communication. Some even delete their books without a word. And suddenly, they return, post chapters, and start demanding "THOUSANDS" of votes and comments. Then they rant about how readers don’t meet their ‘TARGETS.’ But let’s be real—it often goes the other way around.

2 RANT : Another thing I’ve been noticing over the past few months is that some authors keep saying, ‘Wattpad doesn’t pay us, so it’s my choice when and where I post my book’ (referring to other platforms like SS). And yes, that’s fair—it’s your book, your hard work, and your decision. No one denies that. But let’s also be real—while Wattpad may not be paying you directly, it is giving you loyal readers. Readers who wait, support, and build your audience with you. You generate your reader base here, and then those same people follow you to other platforms and pay for early chapters or full books. I’m also a paid reader for several authors, so saying ‘Wattpad gives us nothing’ isn’t completely true either.

So true like I can literally listen to authors who does both of these things…then they’ll go on supreme mode saying they’re generous for posting here & we should be grateful of them and can’t even criticize lack of creativity in the story..

Hello dear....Please give my story a try and provide your suggestions it would really mean a lot to me <3

In the heart of 1970s rural India, where tradition holds women to unspoken rules and expectations, 18-year-old Aarti finds herself trapped in a world that values silence over self-expression. A gifted veena player, she has spent years hiding her passion, bound by a society that measures a woman's worth by her ability to serve her family.

At 28, Raghav, a compassionate schoolteacher, marries Aarti with hopes of a new beginning, but she fears the same chains will follow her. As Aarti settles into her role as a wife, Raghav begins to notice the quiet melody in her heart,a longing for the music she has suppressed. When he discovers her secret, his encouragement sparks a transformation in both their lives.

As they move to a bustling city, their love story becomes a journey of breaking barriers, challenging norms, and finding harmony in a world of dissonance. Through whispered dreams and quiet defiance, Aarti rediscovers herself, and Raghav learns the true depth of companionship and support.
