now i'm usually okay with taylor swift but i did not like her new album. it sounds very unoriginal and inauthentic, and also many of her songs sound like other songs e.g. life of a showgirl kinda sounds like no air by jordin sparks.
i know a lot of people are probably gonna hate me for saying this but i genuinely didn't connect to her music on this one. idk maybe i was expecting the aesthetic to match the music or maybe i just favour a lot of alternative music now.

@aqualunacy it feels so weird though because i enjoy listening to taylor swift in general but idk this album feels strange. i had a similar feeling about tortured poets department too, but i still enjoy a lot of those songs so i'm honestly surprised that i don't like this one.

you shouldn't get hate for expressing an opinion, if the album isn't your vibe then it isn't your vibe! the songs are definitely lacking the depth of her previous work (exception being ruin the friendship) but i still find them fun to listen to
