@gaytowns i hear you. it can be so hurtful when parents purposely do things like that. but the best thing is to remember is that somewhere deep inside she loves you and is just doing these things as a guard like so many other people out there who have nothing better to do or just don't take the time to learn about the lgbtq community and are disrespectful to them because they don't understand or support them (which is incredibly sad to see). you should honestly feel bad for her when she does things like that. i have the same problem with my grandma who is homophobic, racist, and says hurtful things when you don't give her what she wants. i honestly have stopped feeling hurt and instead just feel really bad for her.

@lovebloods thank you so much! my mom and i don't have the best relationship and she does these kinds of things but i really wish she didn't.
