            Brodie hugged his neck and they all lingered there for a moment before Michael pulled away. “This is amazing…how long have you known? Or did you just find out?”

            Michael stood there awkwardly, a forced smile on his face. “Where is your mother anyway? I was supposed to meet her here for lunch.”

                          she hummed as she held her plushie closer to her , she was a spitting imagine of aster.

            “Right…well I’m a good acquaintance of hers then.”

            “Well there was a report in the archives of a stalker she had…but then again this could be something entirely different, but we can’t dismiss it either.”

            “How old is she? Was anything missing from the apartment. History of drug abuse, abusive partners, where exactly did she go missing? I’ve a missing woman myself, it’s possible if unlikely it’s all related.”

            Brodie was quick to run to the table and pull out the sleeve of Tim Tams, going for one until Michael stopped him. “Don’t eat them all. Those were sent here by your grandmother and we won’t get those until Christmas.” The boy nods and grabs one, looking up to Aster and holding one out for her. “You wanna try it? It’s a chocolate covered biscuit and they’re from Australia. They’re really good.”

                              aster smiled , covering her mouth to hide it as she sat in the chair next to the table

            “I hope it tastes just as good.” He smiled back and began to eat, nodding as he took a bite. “Oh yeah. Definitely.”

                         aster smiled as she walked and sat with him. " it all looks so good." she said happily. 

@lxttlewxnders- 
            “Nah, it’s fine. I promise I can manage. I used to cook for professional restaurants so I can handle it. Thank you though.” He kissed her cheek and smiled softly before pulling out a chair for her. “Now sit. We don’t want the food to get cold.”

            He didn’t fight, sitting back in his bed as he sat there with his mask, breathing as better as he can. He couldn’t help to think about aAster though. A million intrusive thoughts went through his head as he laid there trying to rest. He looked over to the empty bed beside him and sniffled. “You should be here with me….I’m so sorry-“

                         " we don't know sir , but you need to rest. " she said softly as she helped put a oxygen mask onto him.

            He pretended to think about it before he finally let up. “Okay. Since you asked so nicely.” He said, chuckling softly

                         " michael please !!" she whined , laughing.

            “Nope, not until you say the magic word.”

                     velvet whined as she laid back down,  whimpering as she closed her eyes, laying against him , her head on his leg before she fell back asleep.

            “Oop, no sweet girl. You gotta stay resting for a while, okay?” He pet her side and gave her relaxing touches

                     she lifted her head alittle and licked his face lovingly , even when he spoke she just seemed so happy to see him , she barked lowly,  growling and barking again as she tried getting up, she was ready to leave and get back to work , mason laughed softly.

                        she awo'd lowly as she leaned her head against his hand,  closing her eyes as she panted,  her tail padding against the ground.

            He smiled softly when he saw the pup and he knelt down to pet her. “You did good today, girl.” He praised, scratching the back of her ears

                        velvet was laying down with her head on her paws , her tail wagging softly when she saw michael , she lifted her head up towards him.

            He took the files and nodded, smiling softly . “Yes sir. I’m on it.” He then went back to his cubical and went through them one by one

                       the man raised a brow and hummed . " well. " he smirked,  picking up a handful of folders and handing them to him. " here's some cases."
