dean low key being a germaphobe
          that was  forced  to live in  filth  for
          his  entire  life is so  heartbreaking
          like i just wanna protect him from
          everything

            it feels like i could always see it, 
            but especially in the later seasons 
            when they first get the bunker and 
            he has his own space. he talks about 
            how it’s nice to be someplace clean 
            and w/o nasty motel stains, etc. and 
            when sam throws his gum wrapper 
            out but misses the trash can, he just 
            brushes it off — but dean is visibly 
            irritated by it which makes sam pick
            it up. and whenever dean is around 
            old or sick people, he’s pretty much 
            visibly disgusted by them. i think the
            obsession with keeping baby clean is 
            also bc of germs/ is slightly OCD. there 
            are some other things but that’s just 
            off the top of my head lol
