            he didn't answer  ,  merely gently nudged soap aside until he could move into the room.  being outside made him feel too  —  exposed.  "somethin'  like that  ..  "  he sighed out.  "I ain't botherin' y  ..  am I?"

            despite the small dismissal of his praise , soap only found himself grinning harder as he lightly nudged ghost’s shoulder .  “ don’t cut yourself so short .  ” he huffed out a tad , shaking his head .  “ ack..  it ain’t nothin’ special  ,  sir .  just what i’m good at .  ”

            he gave a shrug accompanied by a grunt.  "only doin'  my job  ,  johnny."  a moment of pause before he continued.  "good man  ,  aye?  y'did good."

            mark out of courtesy had his eyes covered , his hands went up in an instant . simon was right he did see a glimpse of it , and there was clear shame as mark took a step back , “ it’s okay . . i didn’t see much . “
            he didn’t know why simon wore the mask , but just because he didn’t understand didn’t mean mark would suddenly uncover his eyes and take a peek to get all the details . mark wanted simon to trust him and be able to confide in him , “ let me know when the mask is back on , okay ? i’m sorry i shouldn’t have just walked in without checking . “

            simon cursed lowly as he shoved his mask on.  he took a ragged breath  ,  mentally fighting back his panic.  "yeah  ,  sure  ,  y'didn't see my face which was right in front of'y"

            “ if it makes you feel better i think atom eve would’ve been way better at this than me , “ sure he was immune to bullets but she could put up whole barriers . he cleaned off the tweezers with relative ease , using his super speed to his advantage , he’d rather not keep someone like simon waiting . 
            “ want me to try and get it out ? it’ll save you the hassle , “ it was the least he could do to make up for everything . 

"not used to people bein' immune to bullets."  he finished up the wrap  ,  sighing as he pulled his pants leg back down.  he was just glad it was a clean shot.  would've been a pain having to dig it out.  the one on his arm on the other hand  ..  simon stared at it before digging through the med kit again  ,  locating a set of tweezers.  "clean these off for me."  he ordered while holding them out to the other.  "  ..  can't promise this won't 'appen again  ,  but I'll try 'n get used to it."

            “ didn’t say i wasn’t appreciative , “ mark floated over , sitting next to the other man and leaning against his upper arm .
            “ i’m here to protect you , and i can’t do my job if you’re jumping in front of me first , “ it was a very roundabout way of expressing that mark felt horrible about ghost getting injured over the likes of him , it probably showed on his face .
