            mark turned his head to properly look at the other man , any curiosity and suspicion hidden beneath his goggles , “ you’re a weird one , no offense . “ 
            wasn’t like he was doing anything particularly interesting either , he was just thinking for the most part , enjoying the silence and whatnot .

            another shrug as he took a step forward. "tend to approach people I don't expect to see. didn't realize it was'y at first." and from there he just sat back and observed. he still didn't know much about the other.

            now that was an interesting thought , him using a gun . . he’d need extra strong mufflers or something , assuming he was even interested . he floated upside down for a bit as he crossed his arms and thought , before turning right side up and glancing at ghost , “ nah . i think we’ve got two different ideas of fun . “
            despite the passive aggressive comment he landed , stepping closer to ghost but being pensive with his movements , “ you stopped just for me ? i must be pretty good looking then huh ? or have you never seen a superhero up close before ? “

            ghost risked a glance at the other while letting out a hum to indicate that he was listening. considering he was watching the guy fly  ,  he wouldn't doubt that. "y'ever pick up a gun before?" he questioned while pushing away from the wall. " 's fun  ,  even if it doesn't work to ease y'down. was actually where I was off to before .. " he waved a hand in the others direction ,  leaning out a grunt instead of continuing the sentence.

            “ i work out , just not like how a regular guy would , “ there wasn’t really any easy way for him to describe flying around the earth’s atmosphere to get faster or weight lifting with dozens of tons . when it came to showing off invincible didn’t really need to see some display of ghost’s abilities , he was barely interested in the first place . there was a moment where invincible , no — / mark / struggled to even come up with something to keep the conversation going , so he just let silence take over instead .

            just as he knew the ins and outs of simon , the said man knew the same in return .  but even then john tried his best to convey that truth even now , as if all he’s ever wanted was for someone like the other man to see it in its entirety .  he wanted every inch of himself uncovered by those eyes alone , to lay himself bare and let simon witness it all .  whilst craning his neck to peer up best he could , the sergeant then observed that broken expression .  one that was so open and raw , something that would never be openly shown to anyone but him .  that’s what made john and simon so special , that himself alone would only be allowed to gaze at such a sight .  john couldn’t help the low groan which later escaped him as he took in simon’s weight , but he didn’t care .  not one bit .  especially as the said man was still so mindful of his injury even up until this point .  “ what can i say ?  i’m quite the poet in the makin’ .  ” he snorted , smiling softly despite having a certain big man with his face hidden into the crook of his neck .  it only made soap smile widen , simply enjoying the kisses against it which followed .  “ you’re not gettin’ shy on me now  ,  are you simon ?  come on..  i hardly get tae see that bonnie face of yours most of the time .  if you’re afraid of cryin’ that’s okay..  doubt any of the medical staff is brave enough tae watch considerin’ how badly you scared ‘em .  ”

            simon studied the others face  ,  as if searching for a lie. he prided himself in knowing john's body language  ,  just as he knew his own was known by him. with narrowed eyes he observed the man as he spoke  ,  continuing to do so even after he had stopped. words that he soaked up  ,  words that felt as if they were both piecing him together and tearing him apart. after he finished his assessment his face slowly shifted into a broken expression he couldn't quite put a name to. simon felt warm and cold and  —  fuck  ,  he loved this man. far more than he had ever loved. even though he hasn't been the one to admit such words of passion he couldn't help but feel vulnerable. with careful movements he slowly lowered himself fully against soap  ,  pressed closer than typically necessary to avoid his injury. with that same wounded expression he lowered his head to hide in the crook of the others neck  ,  suddenly regretting fully removing his mask. "you've got a way with words  ,  johnny." he mumbled. how he longed to say them back  ,  to express his devotion  ,  but he might do something stupid  —  like   /  cry  /   if he did that  ,  so he stayed silent. instead pressing soft kisses against the skin of the others neck. hoping the gentle action was enough to convey the torrent of emotions overflowing from his being.

            “ yes  ,  sir..  i’ll abide anythin’ you say .  ” and he meant that , would always mean that .  not once has soap ever lied to ghost within this odd little relationship of theirs , could only practically preen at the touch as it grew tighter .  what he DIDN’T expect were those words alongside the other hovering over him— now pretty much straddling him .  john wouldn’t have cared if simon actually sat down on him , could hardly care less if it caused the recently put stitches to burst .  as long as he could have the said man all over him , john could hardly care less .  “ fuck.. aye..  yes  ,  i’m yours .  i’ve been yours all this time..  haven’t i  ,  simon ?  ” he couldn’t help but to let out a small whine as those words passed his lips , blue eyes ever so pleading with simon— like the scotsman couldn’t stop .  “ and you’re mine all the same  ,  right ?  ghost and soap..  simon and john .  always been just you and me .  together .  i was never one tae believe in soulmates until i met you..  simon riley .  ”

            “ you’re already cruel for bringin’ it up in the first place..  especially a place where you can’t show it properly .  ” he huffed through his nostrils , cheeks clearly flaring up despite himself glancing away from simon to keep eye on the recruits .  but john knew the other could tell..  always did somehow .  “ you think price is a hundred times richer ?  i wouldn’t doubt that .  that would explain why gaz looked so disappointed when i asked who won .  we should make a bet on them as payback .  like..  i dinnae nikolai and price seem pretty cozy  ,  don’t you think ?  ”

            "y'do seem to enjoy doin' that  ,  hm? I mean at this point it seems cruel to deny y'such an enjoyment." he leaned back a bit  ,  grin still in place. "feel like the only reason we don' hear about it on the daily is 'cause he didn't win."

            “ startin’ tae realize you’re actually the worst .  ” he couldn’t help but to pout again , quickly giving simon another glare— half tempted to hit the other man’s arms but refrained .  “ c’mon..  don’t be like that .  i’ll even beg you again for that tae happen if i must .  ” he would do just about anything for simon .  “ gaz told me about their little bet about it..  cannae believe those bawbags .  ”
