            “ what’s that mean ?  ye got a soft spot on me or somethin’ ?  i feel oddly flattered  ,  ghost .  ” there was brief sarcasm in those words , but if soap were honest , he could already tell that he was a weak spot for ghost .  especially considering if it were anyone else , they would’ve been torn into MUCH harsher than he already was right now .  “ ‘could’ve’ and yet it didn’t !  i know the risks  ,  i’m nae eejit .  ” his frown furthered before letting out a sigh , almost like defeat .  “ look  ,  simon .  i’m sorry  ,  okay ?  i dinnae mean tae worry ye or anyone else for that matter .  i just saw the opportunity and WENT for it .  i didn’t even think twice .  ”

            there was a deeply embedded frown laced across the scot’s face , clear worry shining behind his eyes as he allowed simon to simply walk in , not once has he ever stopped him , john knows vulnerability doesn’t come easy from the living legend that is simon ‘ghost’ riley .  “ nae .  you never could  ,  just wonderin’ what’s got you so up and restless again .  ”

            he didn't answer  ,  merely gently nudged soap aside until he could move into the room.  being outside made him feel too  —  exposed.  "somethin'  like that  ..  "  he sighed out.  "I ain't botherin' y  ..  am I?"

            despite the small dismissal of his praise , soap only found himself grinning harder as he lightly nudged ghost’s shoulder .  “ don’t cut yourself so short .  ” he huffed out a tad , shaking his head .  “ ack..  it ain’t nothin’ special  ,  sir .  just what i’m good at .  ”
