He lives like an empty shell until a fierce foreign beauty storms into his office, accusing him of abusing a student. He would never—but her passionate defense of a child breaks through his defenses, yearning for her fervour instead.
          
          Despite the slow burn romance, the traditional yearn, and explicit moments, the story also deals with heavy themes: psychology of trauma, consequences of war, political intrigue, LGBTQ+ rep, and realistic consequences of supernatural elements in a society similar to our own.
