these fourth wing stories are so unoriginal.
          
          you have xaden stories with an added sorrengail that are nothing but a copy and paste.
          
          you have xaden stories with an actual oc but it’s still a copy and paste situation.
          
          you have a melgren / tauri / etc. daughter who falls for a marked one making it seem like an enemies to lovers, only to have the oc trauma dump with their first conversation.
          
          then you have fake original stories that just give the oc the lines that belong to other characters.
          
          and you have well written, original stories that include name changes multiple times that says the person who wrote it either kept changing the name and missed a few, or stole some else’s hard work.
          
          only a handful of stories are truly original and amazing (despite the horrendous grammar mistakes and formatting).
          
          sometimes i wish i had the patience to write a fanfic myself but even if i did, reading something i wrote takes away that special umph in escaping reality…
          
          and now that i think about it, all of these things go for other universes too. twilight, teen wolf, harry potter, fast and furious, all. of. it.
          
          it’s like wattpad really is losing it’s creative touch that made it so popular in the first place.

helppp!! i lost an amazing nct story :( the main character took her step sister’s fan call with ten to get back at her and he ended up thinking she was cool so when she got sent the signed albums, he also gave her mark’s contact info. hella chapters later, they finally meet at a superm concert after texting and calling each other for months. WHERE IS THE STORY!!! i don’t remember the title and it’s not in my reading lists either. like was it deleted or something…

it’s probably just me but i hate the multiple switched povs in a story. especially the ones where it’s switched every chapter.

why is almost every flash reading list filled with either crap stories or every other fandom story (twilight, tvd, tw, outer banks, criminals minds, etc.)
          
          insane.

i prefer when the chapters are numbered instead of titled bc the titles almost always give away what happens in the chapter..

this is the most annoying user i’ve come across in awhile.
          
          if you can’t comprehend what i’m saying, then just don’t bother responding. this entire thing had literally NOTHING to do with you anyway.
          
          like the amount of jumbled nonsense and the addition of putting words in my mouth has just about tipped me over the edge.

cleaning out my library of all these open stories and stories that don’t meet my standards anymore.

should make a discontinued/left hanging reading list. seems to be a trend that’s been happening since 2020/2021.
          
          till this day, i never understood why the writers on this app wrote and updated stories chapter by chapter instead of completing the story and then uploading the whole thing. they gut and still continue to get so many people’s hopes up, then have the nerve to get annoyed when people constantly ask for updates months and years later.
          
          i also never understood the writers that start a multitude of stories at the same time, publish them all, then either lost interest or developed writer’s block for half of them. just write your stories in private, publish the ones that are finished, and scrap the ones you lost interest in so people’s time isn’t wasted. or see if any of the readers would want to read what you’ve written so far and maybe someone will say something that may spark your interest again and can possibly help finish the story.
          
          another long rant by my mind is just blown at the amount of amazing, yet discontinued/discarded stories.
