@girxlcOde well i’m the right person to vent to because i’ve actually experienced this exact thing last year! i dated my childhood friend and realised after the christmas break that my feelings were more platonic than romantic. I think in this situation it’s important to be true to yourself, and you’re aware that you don’t have romantic feelings for him anymore so you should be honest. it’s better to not waste your or his time on something that won’t last, you could both use that time on something better. i understand that it would be awkward after ending things with him, but honestly, even if you broke up over text it’s better than not doing it at all. esp since it’s a one month relationship, so you don’t owe him anything, if you had been dating for longer it’d be better to break up in person but that isn’t the case here. i’ve heard a lot of people say that distance makes the love grow stronger, and for your relationship it seems to be the opposite, so just be true to your feelings and do what you think is best! it’s okay to care for someone and not like them romantically, and you can try to communicate that with him :) good luck! you can talk to me again if you need anything else in the future! <3
