Why in the world do authors always have to kill at least one character in books. It slowly kills me, like stabbing a limb of mine, one at a time.

Hey guys!! Um so I am bored out of my mind. My writing has gotten way better then last year....So i want to rewrite one of my stories...The perfectly Imperfect Rose. It won't affect how often I update my other stories. So do you guys think I should? I would have to delete the other parts and start over. But the story would be better and longer. I need an opinion on this.
