          Long after the events of when they were teenagers, Ruby and Weiss are drawn into a harsh war that tore the world of Remanent apart. The World War I of Remanent breaks out. A huge battle between Grimm, man, and the newly formed nation of Heiwa, leaving allegiances and friendships torn, love decides that terrible moment to bloom like a rose catching team RWBY in its dangerous hands. Blake returns not the feelings of yang and Yang goes on to die upon the battlefield; a death to prove her love, a death Blake will never know of as she becomes engrossed in a new battle.
          Weiss and Ruby become separated as the front lines reach home. Each battle fought is another in which neither knows what became of the other. Horror stories of the enemy's conquests are whispered through the ranks as Weiss is faced with a terrible task of defeating her once loyal friend.
