@HUMANITYSCONTROL !
after their argument, sersi had spent more and more time with the humans and ikaris. she'd spent more time helping then plant their gardens or feed their animals, or even playing with the kids when the parents needed a break to cook dinner or something along those lines. time spent with ikaris, well, that was a given considering ikaris was pretty much chasing after her. sersi wouldn't understand why for a while yet, but it was something that she could get used to. after all, it was a nice distraction from what had happened with druig. well, at least up until he left.
sitting on a bench by the wall, sersi had been far too busy staring at the humans and wondering what they were feeling to even know that druig had sat down by her. but it's his voice that pulls her attention away, her head turning so fast to face him that it almost hurt. it didn't, thankfully, but it doesn't help the pain in her stomach at the sight of him. sure, she'd seen him when ajak would have meeting or around meal time, but sersi had done her best to avoid druig in the same way druig avoiding ikaris. that came to an end, right then and there. but, she didn't seem to mind. part of her still missed him dearly, even after all the cruel things that were said to her.
“you didn't have to do that, druig.” her words are soft, as usual, and her eyes are trailing down to whatever he had pulled out of his pocket. a conch shell, one so beautiful that it could only make her smile slightly. looking from the shell to druig, she let out a quiet sigh. “you truly are a wonder, aren't you? while you are correct in the fact i could replicate it, i wouldn't want to for the world. this one is special to me, and it's one of a kind because it reminded you of me.” she placed her hand on his wrist carefully, an action to say that she meant every word she had said, and perhaps this was her way of showing him that she was forgiving him.
