In middle school, I was always the kid who would write 6-page essays when the teacher said, "max two pages". I had so many thoughts and words in my mind, so many ideas for new stories, that I just had to share them with everyone.
I had a great teacher who, instead of failing me for exceeding the word limit, would read my work to the entire class as an example of a compelling, well-written story. For the shy and insecure kid that I was, her appreciation was a pivotal moment. In a few years, I became the editor-in-chief of my school paper, where I further explored different writing genres. I started writing more and more.
But by the time I graduated high school, I was back in my shell. I felt like my writing is never good enough, too childish, too shallow. I dismissed my dream of studying writing in university, thinking I didn't have enough in me.
Years later, I keep exploring my imaginary worlds. I'm creating storylines and characters, constantly developing them and thinking of new adventures they could embark on. But those stories were always living solely in my mind, never shared with anyone. Maybe it's because I started working on my mental health and self-esteem, maybe because the stars aligned in the right way, but something suddenly made me feel the need to write down one of my longest-living tales. Anticipating, this is only the beginning.

I'm not calling myself a great writer; I'm not calling my work "novels"; I'm here to share the creations of my mind, hoping someone finds them compelling again, just like my teacher once did. I would love to reach as many people as possible, so I chose not to write in my native language, hoping my, at times, poor wording doesn't scare you off.

To wrap up, I'm genuinely grateful to anyone who read up to this point. I hope this was a rather pleasant warm-up before diving further into my writing.

Hope to see you again!
